We operate an inclusion and equality policy and ensure that all children have access to nursery places and services irrespective if their gender, race, disability, religion or belief or sexual orientation of parents
 
Purpose of this policy
 
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the fair allocation of spaces into Shelly Tots Pre-School. Ensuring that parents are aware of the admissions criteria, and the registration process.
Definitions
Definitions for “The Policy” used by a school or other type of educational institution or organization including statutory and mandatory governmental criteria cycle guidelines process and procedure constituted in law or legislation for the admission of children into Pre-School.Responsibilities
Shelly Keepence (proprietor) is responsible for:
  • Updating policy in line with government regulations.
  • Distributing policy to staff, parents, and partners.
 
Procedures
Parents that express interest in our setting will be invited along to the next available induction session.

Criteria
Registered children placed on our waiting list in age order.
The criteria is as follows:
  • Siblings
  • Date of birth
  • Date of registration
  • Although we welcome children out of borough priority is given to children living in the Bromley borough.
Notification
A four-week notification is required for leaving the setting or changes to days attending.
You will be required to pay a deposit during the registration process. This will be returned at the end of the four-week notice period
Children leaving to go onto primary school are not required to give notification of leaving and the deposit will be returned on the last day attended.

The hours of the sessions currently are as follows

Hourly sessions availabe 
Lunch
Parents can provide a packed lunch for their child or choose from the daily menu a choice of lunch that the setting will provide
Lunches provided by the setting cost £2 per lunch ( £2.50 as of October) 
 
Shelly Tots Pre-School promotes healthy eating an ask that parents  reflect our healthy eating when providing theri own lunch. 
Funded hours
15 hour funding is available to all parents of three and four year olds, parents do not need to apply for this funding. Parents should provide the setting with their national insurance number and their child’s birth certificate to enable the setting to apply for the funding.
 
15 hour funding is also available to some parents of two year olds. This is means tested and parents should check the borough website to see if they qualify and to apply. Parents that qualify will be given a certificate with a date of when the funding can start. They should bring this with them to their induction.

30 hour funding is available from September for working parents of three and four year olds. Parents can check the government website to see if they qualify for the funding, Shelly Tots Pre-school will endeavor to do its best to provide extra hours where possible providing there is enough interest to sustain the extra hours.

Payment
All sessions that are not covered by funding are charged at £7.50per hour
Payment must be received before sessions are attended
 
Booked sessions that are not attended are still charged for.
 
Late collection will be charged for.
 
Payments can be made by:
Cash or direct transfer
Parents will receive a receipt for all payments made.
 
Cost of uniform: UNIFORM IS OPTIONAL
T Shirts £7
Polos- £9.50
Sweaters- £12.50
 
Monitoring
This policy will be reviewed yearly by Shelly Keepence in line with government legislation
